Turf Video 25-05-23

The Penicuik to Dalkeith railway opened around 1872 and operated until it’s closure in the 1950’s. Now a well-graded cycle path, it’s popular with cyclists, dog walkers, runners and, of course, turfers, fat bikers and kick-scooterists, with a good number of zones for the taking, many of them called something-hare, or hare-something, or even something-hare-something. In this time-lapse video, I start in Bonnyrigg and follow the old railway track to Penicuik a distance of around 5 miles or thereabouts.
